Tocotrienols
Tocotrienols are a healthy, safer form of vitamin E that avoids issues seen with tocopherols, particularly d-alpha tocopherol. Specifically, these products feature the delta tocotrienols and gamma tocotrienols derived from the annatto tree.
Some formulas also include trans-geranylgeraniol (GG), a similar compound, derived from annatto seeds, that has similar benefits to tocotrienols, with some distinct benefits of its own.
Most commercial supplements and multivitamins do not include tocotrienols as their form of vitamin E - giving a distinct advantage to formulas that do incorporate mixed tocotrienols, and/or the GG extract.
