Bio-Design's Methyl B12 Plus contains the natural, metabolically bioactive form of B12 (as methylcobalamin), natural folate (as calcium L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate), and vitamin B5 (as pyridoxine HCl). These bioactive methylated forms in Methyl B12 Plus also help support individuals with the MTHFR gene mutation.
B12 (methylcobalamin) and folate (L-5-methyltetrahydrofolate) are essential for energy, well-being, brain function, detoxification, hormone balancing, cell metabolism, and are crucial to nerve and red blood cell health. Additionally, the conversion of homocysteine to methionine is dependent upon the methylated forms of B12 and folate. Elevated homocysteine has been associated with many inflammatory conditions in the body.
